Features and benefits
The unique properties of Tyvek® allow it to fold flat with precision, feel natural and function as a sturdy fabric where necessary.
Tyvek® combines the properties of paper, film and fabric — making it ideal for various applications, ranging from self-adhesive labels to maps to artworks. It is rigid and tear-resistant — so much so that it can be folded and flexed repeatedly. Depending on your requirements, it can be glued, laminated, sewn, stapled, and fixed.
Technology allows Tyvek® to meet your demands constantly. Made of high-density polyethene fibres, it is 100% recyclable — making it an environmentally conscious choice. Its unique structure allows it to be lightweight and tear-resistant. The effects of water, chemicals, heat, cold, mishandling and UV rays are minimal. Tyvek® lasts outdoors for up to three months or longer if special chemical treatment is performed. While it is not fire-resistant, it can function in temperatures ranging from -70℃ to 118℃.
Again, variety is the name of the game. Tyvek® is uniquely versatile. It can be coated, embossed, folded, glued, stamped, perforated, stitched and heat-sealed. Thanks to its corona and antistat treatment, ink, adhesives and other coatings can be applied safely, increasing its surface wettability and surface tension.
Tyvek® can be printed using a diversity of techniques, namely: Flexo, Screen, UV inkjet, thermal transfer, gravure, latex, letterpress, and digital printing.
